Our Story

I spent a few years living and working in Mumbai. The city has its own rhythm…the buzz of South Mumbai, the sea breeze along Marine Drive, the old Art Deco facades…and I liked falling into its tempo. 

There was always somewhere to go, someone to meet and, inevitably, something to eat. In India, food slips effortlessly into conversation, celebration and hospitality, and sometimes into a polite argument about whether you’ve eaten enough.

It was there I first met the humble fox nut, or makhana: small, crunchy and oddly compelling. Years later, back in the UK, the question kept coming back to me: why isn’t everyone eating these? 

So…we began roasting them, experimenting with flavours and, eventually, we gave them a name: Fox Sakes. Some savoury. Some sweet. All gloriously foxy and loaded with plant protein, fibre and essential minerals. but we’re not here to sermonise…we’re here for the crunch, the flavour and the simple pleasure of a stellar snack.
